The High Intensity Adaptor allows ambient air to enter the 15 litre Reservoir/Silencer Bag if the demands of the athlete exceed the output capacity of the Cloud 9 system. This will increase the oxygen level to some extent but will not have a significant effect on training for short durations.
When the High Intensity Adaptor is used it must be inserted into one of the adjacent ports in the reservoir bag and the output to the user must use the other adjacent port. The input from the Cloud 9 should be to the remote port at the other end of the bag.
(When the athlete demands are consistently more than the output of the Cloud 9 then a second Cloud 9 should be added so that both Cloud 9 units provide air to the reservoir bag. In this configuration the two Cloud 9 units supply air to the two adjacent ports and the output to the user is via the remote port)
